Easy Way To Plan Your Machine Quilting

Marking Free Motion Machine Quilting of Feathers by Sally Terry

I have been working on piecing this quilt for a long time. So anxious to get it done.

Yet when it is finally loaded on my quilting machine SibbyNell (after both my grandmothers) it is impossible to see all the different areas between the sashing because the blocks are not regular so the spaces between them are all different.

What to do, What to do!?

I used the pattern assembly sheet and marked directions on it. Arrows and circles and even a bird or two randomly place over the entire quilt top gives me a reference of the placement of the designs and the way the feather leaf pattern travels across the sashings and around the border.

Lay tissue or vinyl over the pattern to draw on. You can photocopy the pattern for personal use only to mark up your pattern instructions. Please follow all the Copyright wishes of the designer.

It is an easy solution and saves so much time.
